Duration: 1:40 Using a theatrical and ritualistic logic, I reference from millennial suicidal trends that take place as challenges in social media and performing my ritual. Appropriating the YouTube aesthetic of these challenges I challenged myself to smoke for the first time my brother's hair as a little ceremonial and cannibalistic action. Although the original idea behind the work is about a ritual overcoming a family trauma, the semiotics are shifting when it comes to the public visual interpretation. |
